Police Information Checks
Overview:

The Calgary District Lacrosse Association now requires that all coaches, managers and trainers complete a Police Information Check.  This will include a full search of Canada-wide Criminal Record History, Vulnerable Sector Search and Police History.  This includes Local Police Information and Alberta Provincial Court Records.  Police Information Checks must be completed and submitted prior to June 5, 2015.

Procedures:

If you HAVE a current Police Information Check that has been completed for another organization within the last 3 years...
- submit your completed Police Information Check documentation via email to policecheck@calgarylacrosse.com.  include your name, club, and team(s) you are with this season.
        -or-
- If you completed an online Calgary Police Information Check, you can login to your account and share your results with the Calgary District Lacrosse Association (CDLA) -or- you can complete a check with Sterling Backcheck (either one is accepted).

If you DO NOT have a current Police Information Check...

...and you are with the Axemen, Hornets, Knights or Sabrecats, YOU CAN COMPLETE A POLICE INFORMATION CHECK USING "Sterling Backcheck":

... and you are with High River, Okotoks, Strathmore or Rockyview YOU CAN COMPLETE A POLICE INFORMATION CHECK USING ONE OF THE TWO FOLLOWING OPTIONS
1.  OPTION 1 - Download the CDLA Volunteer Letter and take it to your local RCMP office and ask them to complete the Police Information Check for you.

2. OPTION 2 - Complete an online backcheck through Sterling Backcheck

$25 fee (this may be covered by your club - it is NOT covered by CDLA)
